Q. What do you mean you heal the sick?

A.  First of all, healing is not for entertainment it is strictly for evangelism purposes. Healing the sick is the most effective evangelism tool there is because this is how Jesus reached the lost and how He told us to do it.

We pray over the sick based on scripture with authority and laying on of hands. It is also a command in Luke 10:9. Sharing the Gospel and Healing the sick are a package deal according to Jesus. *We also recognize that healing is needed first and foremost in the heart and this is where we heal with the Good News Gospel of Jesus Christ.  In other cases, we have prayed over unbelievers and believers alike and most are healed rather quickly when a scripturally correct method is used.  We minister in this way so that all people (especially the gospel-resistant) will know that Jesus Christ IS the only way to the Father and that He loves them very much. Healing really is a simple evangelistic tool that gets the point across very quickly!

We also train other believers to do the same through our GPAT program.

Q.  Isn't there a "gift of healing" given to just a few and not everybody has it. So how do you explain that?

A. There is a gift of healing but there is also a measure of power and authority given to every believer for evangelism purposes. We don't believe in superstar healers because it is not biblically accurate. During the training we explain this more in detail with scripture.

Q.  Is there "slain in the spirit," blowing people over with breath, tapping, slapping, people rolling around on the floor and other things like that happening during one of your meetings?

A. No. We are strictly scriptural. If Jesus didn't do it or teach it, we avoid it. However, just because we do not follow those things does not mean we criticize or demean other believers.  We believe in working together out of love and respect.

Q. Do you believe in going to the doctor?

A. Yes. God gave us common sense! We always keep scripture in mind regarding any issue. God's word is always preeminent.

Q. Because there is so much confusion out there, what exactly do you believe?

A. Please read our Statement of Faith.

Q.  How much do you charge for speaking and for trainings?

A. Everything is free. Freely we have received, freely we give. (Matthew 10:8)

Q. Are you evangelical or charismatic?

A. Technically neither. The world has been good at splitting and trying to divide the church. We believe we are one Body under Christ Jesus which is the Head of our Body. We are not a building, an association or organization--not in the world's terms. Romans 12:5b "We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other."

Q. But you believe in healing, isn't that charismatic?

A. We hold tightly to scripture and are conservative. However, we do believe the Word of God and healing is inherently scripture. To say that healing is not for today is refuting the Word of God. Because we will face the Judgment Seat of Christ someday we are careful to obey the Lord and His Word. His sacrifice covers everything and is more than adequate!

"But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed."

Isaiah 53:5

Q. Is there any other scripture that says healing is for today?

A. Yes.

1.) John 14:12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father." - Jesus Christ

2.) Mark 16:15-20 "And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.   He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.   And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;   they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover. So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, The Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen."

3.) Hebrews 2:4 "And God confirmed the message by giving signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit whenever He chose."

4.) Matthew 10:8 "Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give."

5.) Luke 10:19 "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you."

We have been given authority to complete the task the Lord Jesus has given us in fulfilling the Great Commission. In Mark 13:34, the Lord tells us this for an illustration: "For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch."

The entire counsel of scripture gives evidence to the miraculous concerning the Kingdom of God. The Lord gives the command" Heal the sick and tell them the Kingdom of God is near." Luke 10:9

If we rightly divide the truth, (2 Timothy 2:5) we see that to obey the Lord's command means to share His Word with all and heal the sick.  If we are obedient and faithful, the healing miracles are a natural result and speak for themselves.  Because of this many truly come to the Lord Jesus and are saved.
